Greg Hetson

Greg Hetson is an American guitarist best known for his work in the punk rock and hardcore scenes. Born on December 8, 1963, he gained prominence as a key member of the influential band Bad Religion, where he contributed to their distinctive sound characterized by melodic riffs and socially conscious lyrics. He joined Bad Religion in 1984 and played on several of their seminal albums, including "Suffer" (1988), "No Substance" (1998), and "The Gray Race" (1996). In addition to Bad Religion, Hetson was also a founding member of the punk band Circle Jerks, which he co-founded in 1979. The band's energetic style and Hetson's guitar work were pivotal in shaping the West Coast punk scene. Notable Circle Jerks albums include "Group Sex" (1980) and "Wild in the Streets" (1982). Hetson's impact on music is marked by his ability to blend punk with melodic elements, influencing countless bands in the genre.
